This lady is a hoot!

Julia Schopick, author of Honest Medicine: Effective, Time-Tested, Inexpensive Treatments for Life-Threatening Diseases, uses some specific diseases and treatments to highlight some of the shortcomings in the way modern medical practitioners think.  In short, they lack curiosity.

While I appreciate the need to follow best practices and to have standards of care, following protocols at the expense of an opportunity for health really isn’t useful.

It takes courage to go against the authoritative voice of an MD, but sometimes it’s the right thing to do.
